Studying languages at higher education

Year 10 and 11 students recently enjoyed a visit from two MFL undergraduates from Leeds University. Millthorpe students took part in the seminar on the subject of language study at higher education and were able to get actively involved in understanding the benefits of university life.

Students were able to ask questions about degree courses and the opportunities available to linguists at higher education, including the opportunity to study or work in a foreign country. Even students who are not considering a degree in languages were given food for thought about the continuation of their studies at A Level and beyond and a broader understanding of university life.
