Year 11 leavers’ events

A huge thank you to the many parents and carers who have sent in photos of their child(ren) growing up to be included in the leavers’ assembly. Please send any photos that you are happy to be included to E: y11leavers@millthorpe.southbank.academy

Prom preparations are also gathering pace. Please encourage your child to check the Year 11 Prom Google Classroom for updates. The menu will be confirmed this weekend and today is the deadline to request a vegetarian meal or inform us of any allergies, intolerances or other dietary requirements.

Open events at Bishop Burton College

New players sought for girls’ rugby team

York Acorn RLFC run rugby league sessions for girls aged 11-16 and are looking for new players. Sessions are held on Saturday mornings from 10.00-11.00am and are free.

This is great opportunity for girls who would like to start playing rugby and for any students who are taking GCSE PE who need to compete in a sport outside of school.

Goalkeeper needed for U15 girls’ team

Bishopthorpe White Rose is a thriving footbll club with over 450 children and a fantastic new ground which is nearing completion. They are looking for a specialist goalkeeper for their U15 girls’ team – you could be in Year 10 or maybe Year 9 as the League allows players to play up a year.

You can find out more about the club here and any interested players should contact Andrew Ellis E: Andrew.Ellis@sw.co.uk
