How are we doing?

For the last three years we have asked parents and carers for feedback about the school by way of a questionnaire handed out at each parents’ evening.

The questionnaire, based on the Ofsted Parent View survey, asks parents and carers to rate a number of statements ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree.

We are delighted to say that the feedback we have received this year is our best yet and has been universally positive.

Of the parents and carers who completed the questionnaire:

Although these are very positive results, there is always room for improvement and we will seek to address those areas which parents and carers feel we are not quite as strong in. In particular, the homework students receive and the information we send out about the progress students make.

The second of these will be changing as the government have removed levels from both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 2 and we are now expected to assess without them. The new system of assessment will mean changes to how we report to parents and carers in the future and we will inform you about these in due course.

We will also look to ensure that all students receive appropriate homework for their age and ability.
