Access arrangements – automated gates
Some of you may have already noticed that, to improve the security of our site, we have now invested in automated electronic gates for the entrance on the main drive. The gates are open at the beginning and end of the school day; if you need to come into school during the school day, please press the buzzer on the pillar next to the gate so that someone in the Office can buzz you in. To leave, either press the release button to the left of the gate if you are on foot, or, if you are driving, drive towards the gate and stop when you reach the sensor (about 5m away): the gates will automatically swing open towards you.
Access arrangements – students accessing the building before and after the school day
A reminder that the school building is open to students from 8.30 onwards in the morning. For their safety and comfort, please try to avoid dropping them at school before this time. In the afternoon, students are expected to leave the building by 3.30 unless they are with a member of staff or taking part in a supervised activity.

Preparation for Employment
As part of our Extended Learning Day on Tuesday all Year 10 students will be following a carousel of activities led by external providers and employers. As part of the interview, employers will refer to the application form and give students feedback and pointers for improvement.
