Pastoral
Care
The standard of work produced by pupils, their welfare
and discipline are all vital aspects of school life. At Millthorpe
the form tutors have the main responsibility for pupil welfare
and are usually the first point of contact for parents. Our
pastoral care begins before the pupils enter Year 7 through
our extensive Primary Liaison programme which is carried
out while the pupils are in the last term at primary school.
Form tutors work as a team with a Head of Year co-ordinating
their work. The Head of Year will have oversight of the year
group as a whole and plays a key role in our rewards and
sanctions systems.
Mr Fairclough has oversight of Years 7, 8 and 9, Mr Nichols
of Years 10 and 11.
Mr Butterworth is the Assistant Head
with overall responsibility for pastoral care within the
school.
The appropriate staff are always available to
discuss any matter that is causing you or your child concern. |
