Code of Conduct : Around School
- Wear full correct uniform in class and when moving between lessons.
- Move calmly and quietly about the school. No running or shouting.
- Be punctual; arrive to lessons on time.
- Be polite to other students, staff and visitors.
- Follow the instructions of all staff the first time, every time.
- Place litter in the bins provided.
- Treat all property and the school premises with respect.
- You are a member of Millthorpe School on your way to and from school, and throughout the school day. We expect you to maintain high standards of courtesy and consideration in the local community.
Code of Conduct : Classroom Expectations
- Arrive on time and line up quietly outside the classroom or behind your chair as directed.
- Make sure that you are fully equipped and wearing correct school uniform.
- Take your planner to every lesson and have it on the desk in front of you at the start of the lesson.
- Follow instructions the first time they are given and accept that the teacher is in charge of the lesson.
- Speak politely and treat others with fairness, patience and respect.
- Listen without interrupting.
- Work with enthusiasm and to the best of your ability.
- Do not distract others – allow the teacher to teach and others to learn.
