MILLTHORPE WEEKLY EMAIL
Friday 21 July 2017

I hope you and your family enjoy a good summer break. Thank you for the support you have given Millthorpe School over this last academic year. While my role will be changing as we welcome York High into the Trust, I will still be a presence around Millthorpe next year and together with Gemma Greenhalgh, our new Head of School, we will work as hard as we can to Make Millthorpe a truly great place to learn and work.

Trevor Burton
Headteacher

Autumn Term 2017
The start of term for new Year 7 students is Tuesday 5 September. The start of term for the rest of the school (current Year 7 to Year 10) is Wednesday 6 September.

Parents’ Evening Survey
Thank you to all of the parents and carers who completed our recent parents’ evening survey. It is always extremely useful to get feedback from parents and carers and the results from this survey will help us improve the way we run parents’ evenings in the future. For a summary of the results please click here.

End of Year Reports
End of year school reports for Years 7, 8 and 9 have been handed out this week and Year 10 reports were posted home yesterday. If you have not/do not receive your child’s report, or there is a problem with their report, please email Miss Buglass, Data Manager, on s.buglass@millthorpeschool.co.uk.

Year 7 and Year 8 Exams Survey
Thank you to the Year 7 and 8 parents and carers who have responded to the exam survey we sent out on Wednesday. The feedback so far has been very constructive and will help with our planning for next year’s exams. We will be analysing the results next week so there is still time to respond to the survey by clicking the following link: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Y7andY8Exams.
