Lateral flow testing
Please remember that students and their families are encouraged to carry out a COVID test each Wednesday and Sunday. This is particularly important at the moment with the emergence of variants of concern and a rise in cases locally and nationally. If students need more tests, they should let their form tutor know.
York Education Futures surveys
Young people, parents, carers and teaching staff are being asked for their views on the impact of the COVID pandemic on York schools and to say how education needs to develop in the future as part of three citywide surveys launched today.
The aim of the surveys is to take a ‘temperature check’ on how people have coped during the pandemic and the impact of disrupted schooling on individuals’ learning. The results of the survey, which are anonymous and won’t identify individual schools, will be used to develop key themes to support local children and young people over the next few years.
Please do have your say! The surveys can be found by clicking the links below:
The Active Lives Children and Young People’s survey
Each term, schools from across the county are selected to take part in The Active Lives Children and Young People’s survey, commissioned by Sport England. The survey gathers data on how children engage with sport and physical activity, providing anyone working with children aged 5-16 key data to help understand children’s attitudes and behaviours around sport and activity.
This term, Millthorpe School has been selected, with students in Years 7, 8 and 9 being invited to participate. The survey should take 15-20 minutes to complete and the deadline for completion is Friday 16 July.
