Meeting re trip to Krakow, Poland

There will be a meeting on Monday 16 December, at 6.00pm, in the school library, to go through the itinerary for the trip to Krakow, Poland. (Please note entry to the school at this time is via the main drive only.)

The trip booklet, which contains a wealth of information about where we will be going and what we will be doing, will be available at this meeting, and we will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Year 9 Parents Evening

A quick reminder that our Year 9 Parents Evening will be held on Thursday 5 December from 4.00–6.30pm. The online booking system will be available until 12.00midnight, Sunday 1 December.

 

Millthorpe School’s Production of Aladdin

Tickets will be on sale next week for this year’s spectacular Christmas production of Aladdin. Performances are at 6.30pm on Tuesday 10, Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 December.

Tickets are £3 each and can be purchased from Ms Andrle before and during registration every morning (8.40-9.05). Ms Andrle’s office is up the stairs past the Language Lab next to the staff kitchenette. Please bring exact money if you can.

General election hustings

Bootham School is hosting a general election hustings evening on Monday 9 December at 7.00pm and would like to invite students, staff, parents and anyone else who is interested to go along. If you would like to attend to quiz local candidates, further information and tickets are available here. When you book tickets you can also register to ask a question.

 

Parenting course

Family Matters York are running a five-week parenting course beginning on Monday 13 January 2020 at Clifton Children’s Centre. Each session runs from 12.45-2.45pm.

Care4Calais – donations needed

Care4Calais is a volunteer-run charity delivering aid and support to refugees living in Northern France and Belgium. They are looking for donations of a number of items including various items of clothing, tarpaulins and backpacks amongst others. If you would like to donate please check this list of required items and then bring your items to school. There is a collection box in the main office which will returned to the charity at the end of term.
