MILLTHORPE SCHOOL WEEKLY EMAIL Friday 12 October 2018

Road Safety

Road safety messages to students

There have been a number of reports recently from members of the public concerned about risky behaviour by Millthorpe students on their way to and from school. We have begun to address this issue with students in school and we would be very grateful if you could reinforce with your child(ren) the vital importance of taking good care when crossing roads.

Driving into school

A reminder that parents/carers should under no circumstances be driving into school to drop off or collect students unless by prior arrangement with the school (e.g. for a student with an injury).

Millthorpe Remembers Poppy Project

This year, to mark the centenary of the end of World War One, students and staff at Millthorpe are being encouraged to contribute a poppy to the school’s memorial display. Each poppy will be dedicated to a different individual who lost their life in WWI and they will be combined to make a display in the school’s main entrance. Please follow the link for more information.
