In December 2016, Millthorpe submitted two bids to the Condition Improvement Fund, an annual bidding process by which academies can apply for funding to improve school buildings. The bids included work to repair defective roofing and skylights and replace old glazing systems and damaged concrete work in selected buildings across the site. The combined value of the bids is £1.9 million and we are delighted to announce that both bids have been successful. This will allow us to make significant improvements to the quality of accomodation across a number of areas of the school and also reduce our annual repair costs. We will keep you updated as these works progress over the coming months.
